Google Indoor Maps now shows FNAC, CDG, Casino & More

Innovation

Google announced today that their Indoor Maps feature, which first launched showing the Mall of America and other large landmarks, now features select museums, stores & airports in France. Among the list of places available for view is Paris’ Charles De Gaulle airport, supermarkets such as Casino, Carrefour, and Monoprix, major retail stores like FNAC, & major malls like Lille’s Euralille, Paris’ Forum Des Halles, and more.
The indoor maps feature allows you to see the way the inside of buildings look, and the routes between stores/rooms, and even use the directions feature within the building. The feature is currently only available on the latest Google Maps version on Android, but we went ahead and took a screenshot on an android phone (Thank you, Wessel Kooyman, the only person I know with an android phone, for letting me borrow it).
You can find an entire list of the places which currently have indoor maps capabilities here.  In addition, any co-working space, accelerator, or big giant office looking to add their building’s map to Google can submit online as well.
