Imaginez vos prochaines vacances à l’Ile Maurice. L’hôtel à l’air parfait, vous voyagez en classe Affaires (on est en pleine conjecture, on a le droit d’imaginer ce qu’on veut). Le stage de plongée est réservé, la météo va être au rendez-vous et la GoPro est prête. Vous en frétillez d’avance. Puis vous pensez à comment vous allez vous rendre à Roissy. Et là, le cauchemar commence.
 

Le point noir du voyage

 
Parlons franchement. Cette partie du voyage est démoralisante. Quelle est la meilleure solution?
 
La voiture? L’aéroport est un labyrinthe et les parkings proches sont hors de prix.
Le Taxi? On en a parfois pour aussi cher que le parking et on doit limiter les bagages sous peine de surtaxes.
Les transports en commun? Moins chers mais avec des bagages volumineux ou des enfants (ou les deux!), c’est la galère assurée.
 
Reste le fidèle copain qui acceptera d’aller vous déposer à 5h du matin pour votre vol mais ça ne court pas les rues.
 
Et cette même question se pose à nouveau au retour.
 
Forts de ce constat, Manoël Roy, Jonathan Grandperrin, Charles Raymond et Thomas de Longvilliers, les fondateurs de Ector, ont décidé de proposer une alternative “no stress”.
 

L’idée

 
Finis les taxis et transports en commun: vous venez avec votre voiture (donc votre playlist?). Un voiturier vous attend devant votre terminal de départ, vous assiste dans le déchargement et vous indique où aller vous enregistrer. Et c’est fini… pour vous.
 
Il ou elle part ensuite entreposer la voiture dans un parking sécurisé, parmi les parkings les moins onéreux, souvent plus éloignés du terminal.
Vous, vous êtes déjà au salon Affaires en train de siroter un cocktail (on a dit qu’on pouvait imaginer ce qu’on voulait!). Vous pourriez avoir envie de vous inquiéter du retour mais non.
 
A votre retour, lorsque vous sortirez de l’aérogare, votre voiturier sera là pour vous remettre les clés de votre voiture. Toujours la même, avec la même playlist! Si vous avez choisi l’option, le plein sera fait ou la révision aura été réalisée.
 

De la gestion du personnel au temps de livraison des bagages

 
Si Ector veut prétendre être un acteur majeur du parcours de voyage, cette startup doit jongler avec des problématiques nouvelles. Loin de l’image traditionaliste du secteur, Ector a du innover sur plusieurs tableaux.
 
L’app: afin de faciliter la logistique pour le voyageur, Ector a conçu une application de réservation et d’alerte. Le client pourra ainsi facilement contacter son voiturier pour organiser le dépot et la reprise.
 
L’optimisation du temps du voiturier: l’équipe d’Ector (une quinzaine de personnes à l’heure actuelle) a élaboré un algorithme permettant d’anticiper l’heure de sortie du voyageur en fonction de son vol. Temps de livraison des bagages, passage des douanes, ce temps est variable selon les compagnies. Couplé à l’information donnée par le voyageur, le voiturier est en place au moment souhaité mais en minimisant son temps d’attente.
 
Ector a également développé une platforme pour les voituriers afin de choisir leurs créneaux d’intervention et indiquer leurs disponibilités.
 

Des voituriers heureux

 
Dans un monde où la “denrée” humaine est peu considérée, l’attitude de Ector tranche. “Vous sommes vraiment triste quand un voiturier nous quitte” confesse Manoël “nous rêvons d’être une grande boîte avec des voituriers heureux“!
Les voituriers sont recrutés sur leurs capacités de conduite, leur présentation et leur ponctualité. Casier judiciaire vierge, tous les points sur un permis de plus de 3 ans et un examen de conduite réussis seront leur sésame. Bien qu’indépendants, ils ne sont pas “jetables” comme ailleurs. L’optimisation de leur temps de course leur permet de cumuler avec d’autres missions ou emploi.
 
Au total, environ 200 voituriers sont mobilisés par Ector qui dessert, à ce jour, 24 gares ou aéroports.
 

Oui, d’accord, mais ça coûte combien?

 
Toujours avec notre exemple de Roissy, nous avons effectué une recherche comparative. Pour garer sa voiture dans un parking de Roissy le temps d’un weekend, il vous en coûtera 49€ (reservation internet). Ce parking est à 15 minutes en navette de l’aérogare. Pour la même chose dans un parking plus proche, il vous en coûtera minimum 69€. Chez Ector, vous en aurez pour 49€.
 
Si vous partez la semaine, le parking à 15 minutes, réglé sur place, vous reviendra à 166€ (95€ par le web). Et le parking au contact du terminal à 193€. Ector sera, lui à 99€
 
On remarquera la justesse du modèle Ector qui arrive à rivaliser avec les prix habituels tout en offrant un service supplémentaire.
 
Les investisseurs ne s’y sont pas trompés. Après avoir levé 500 000€ en 2015, Ector a levé 2 millions d’Euros cette année.
 

L’humain est de retour

 
Dans un monde où l’humain est de plus en plus considéré comme le maillon faible et est remplacé par des bornes et des applis, notamment dans le secteur du voyage, la démarche de Ector est audacieuse. Ramener le contact humain dans le parcours du voyageur qui ne voit quasiment plus personne avant de se faire tripoter aux portiques de sécurité.
 
Un service d’un autre temps qui renait grâce à la technologie et l’envie de retrouver une certaine chaleur humaine. Le challenge le plus prégnant restant de sortir, pour la culture française, de l’idée que c’est un service de luxe. Ector a d’ailleurs vocation à s’exporter et se lancera en 2018 hors de nos frontières. Nous leur souhaitons de continuer longtemps à nous faciliter les voyages.
