Paymill & Commerce Guys announced this week that the online payments platform will now be available on Drupal Commerce, the Drupal-based e-commerce platform developed by Commerce Guys. For Drupal Commerce users, this means being able to choose Paymill as the online payments provider for their checkout process; for e-shoppers on Drupal Commerce sites, this means an easy way to checkout without being taken to a third party site.
Drupal Commerce, built on top of open-source PHP-based content management system Drupal, allows e-merchants to quickly develop e-commerce sites on top of the Drupal platform, meaning easy integration with blogs, company sites, and other Drupal-based web sites. While not as large as its competitor, WordPress, which powers nearly 20% of websites today, Drupal-based sites represent a significant part of the web today, and Commerce Guys have been enabling these websites to add on eCommerce sites quickly and easily.

The partnership isn’t exactly exclusive; Commerce Guys offers more than a dozen payment gateways to its eMerchants, and Paymill is integrated with other e-Commerce platforms such as Shopify, announced earlier this year.
