Twilio annonced this week that their big annual conference on cloud communications, TwilioCon, is coming to Europe for the first time. The day-long event, which will take place Inmarsat Conference Centre in London, offers developers, entrepreneurs and enterprises the chance to share ideas and help shape the future of business communications. The agenda is shaping up to be really interesting, featuring companies leveraging cloud-based communications to better serve their customers, discussions and debates from industry thought leaders on key issues facing the European startup community, technical workshops and, of course, a much anticipated keynote from Twilio cofounder and CEO Jeff Lawson. Lawson underscored Twilio’s excitement about Europe’s tech scene and brining TwilioCon to Europe next month:

“Cloud-based communications platforms are making it possible for any developer and enterprise to innovate and create a better experience for their customers,” said Lawson. “We’ve been hugely impressed by the innovation taking place in Europe and are excited to bring TwilioCon to London this autumn. It will be a day to celebrate what’s being built by software people across the continent, and an opportunity to network with the cream of the European tech community.”

Through their superb, on-the ground developer/client relations, great local events such as their Paris apero and workshop last June, their Europe-focused Twiliofund and, now, their effort to bring TwilioCon to Europe, Twilio is quickly become an important player in Europe’s fast-growing tech scene. If you’re a Twilio client, interested in becoming one, want to learn more about their solutions, or are just interested in learning more about the future of cloud communications in general, TwilioCon Europe is an event you won’t want to miss. They have low £99 early bird rates available through September 24th as well as £25 student rates, so make sure to register here if you’d like to attend.
