Positioned as the ‘most complete’ search engine for e-commerce, Twenga has just closed a €10 million round with Idinvest Partners. Founded in 2006 by Bastien Duclaux and Cédric Anès, Twenga give users access to 400 million products in one-click.
Over the last few years, Twenga have focused on improving on and repositioning their offer around advanced technologies they’ve developed in audience acquisition. All this has translated into two new offers which aim to help their clients optimize their ROI and cost of sale – Smart LEADS, delivering their customers high-quality leaders, and Smart SEM, which helps ecommerce vendors optimize their search budgets. Integration of these new services have paid-off as they’ve attracted 200 new customers just in the last 6 months, bringing their total number of customers to 4,000.
Now with €10 million raised, their focus is international. They’re already in Germany and the UK, but will open several new offices elsewhere in Europe this summer. This shift will require them to rapidly scale-up their team from 150 today, adding 50 new joiners in Engineering, Data Science, Marketing and Sales by end 2015.
