France’s #1 eCommerce player, Priceminister (acquired by Rakuten in June 2010) said farewell to cofounders Pierre Kosciusko-Morizet (PKM) & Pierre Krings, who said au revoir to the company they co-founded in 2001 in a blog post published on the company’s blog yesterday.

Speaking for his experience with the company, PKM stated that he was happy with the work he & the PriceMinister team had done (40% expected growth in 2014 vs. the 10% average France), and felt he had completed the post-acquisition transition that he set out to do. Leaving the company, PKM will be replaced in his role of President of PriceMinister by fellow co-founder Olivier Mathiot, previously Director of Marketing for the division.

While PKM is saying goodbye this week, his activity and reputation have long since extended beyond his role in PriceMinister. After the $200 Million Rakuten acquisition in 2010, PKM began investing quite quickly, forming the core founding team behind French VC ISAI, as well as investing via his & Pierre Krings’ holding Kernel Investissements., most recently investing in ChicTypes.
