Atlantic 2.0/La Cantine, organizers of Web2Day, have just launched their full prorgam for the 5th edition of Web2Day, set for May 16-17th in Nantes. Last year’s conference, which was also attended by Minister Fleur Pellerin, proved to be a super, high-quality event which as Liam pointed out ‘punched well above its weight’.  The 2012 edition attracted over 800 attendees, coming from all over France and beyond. This year the organizers seek to top that, designing a Web2Day ‘Digital Festival’ that is jammed packed with top-notch speakers, workshops, networking sessions, discussions, etc. The panels and workshops will, of course, focus on the most pertinent topics affecting tech today, including collaborative consumption, the internet of things, passive recommendations, alternative business models, and connected objects.

Another big highlight of Web2Day will be their Startup Contest, which is being organized this time around in conjunction with Company Campus. The approach their taking this year is truly an innovative one and promises to produce a contest that will create value for startups and investors alike. We’ll go into more details in a separate article which will delve deeper into how this year’s contest will work. However, in the interim, you can always learn more about it and apply here.

As we were last year, Rude Baguette will be a media partner for this year’s edition as well. However, this time around we’re excited to have a more active role moderating the alternative business models and passive recommendation panels. We have some great speakers lined up from some of the hottest startups out there, including Appsfire, Twago, Spideo, Outbrain, and Tapjoy, so make sure to come out and check us out.

Don’t forget to buy your Web2Day ticket soon!

In addition to offering attendees a unique and high-quality experience, Web2Day is also great deal with standard 2-day passes at only €139 and student & unemployed ticket rates at just €49. As an additional benefit to attendees, the sponsors also have a partnership this year with Airbnb who have offered a €10 discount with the code WEB2DAY (available properties in Nantes here).

Last but not least, the organizers have also give us a free ticket which, as always, we’re passing along to you so if you want it, like this article our Facebook page!
