Take Eat Easy

Take Eat Easy, the Brussels start-up specializing in home delivery meals,  just raised  €10 million in Series B funding, round led by Eight Roads Ventures and existing investors Rocket Internet, DN Capital and Piton Capital.

The announcement comes with great excitement, considering the company closed a €6 million Series A funding round in April, just five months ago.

The recently received investment will be used to accelerate Take Eat Easy market penetration, starting in Belgium, where is headquartered, and in France and then moving on to U.K, Spain and Germany, in order to fulfill the goal to become the number 1 “premium delivery service” in Europe.

Launched in September 2013, the startup differentiated itself by ensuring delivery by quality restaurants. To do so, it had to develop a technology  that picks a courier and the best timing for you to receive your order at the required delivery time. A real time optimization that enables Take Eat Easy to handle large volumes and therefore be profitable.

The service provided is straightforward. Once you’ve decided which yummy meal you would love to try, Take Eat Easy passes the order to the restaurant chosen and deliver the food right to your door by bike. Differently from Just-Eat,which operates a pure marketplace model, relying on the restaurants themselves to handle delivery, Take Eat Easy (and similar upstarts) offer online ordering and food delivery from premium restaurants that don’t traditionally offer a take-out service.

Take Eat Easy will be joining us this year as an Official Recruiter of our Paris Startup Job Fair coming up Saturday, September 19 th. If you’d like be to be a part of Take Eat Easy’s mission to become Europe leader in premium delivery service make sure to come out and meet them at the Job Fair!
