Connected Conference is only 6 weeks away and we’ve already announced dozens of great speakers, and 3-day program that will blow you away, and, oh yeah, a giant Connected Home in the middle of the venue. Inside our Exhibition Hall, in addition to a giant home, a giant 3D Experience powered by our Official Sponsor Autodesk, we’ll also have 60 startups demo-ing in our Startup Village. Every day, you’ll get to see different startups showing off the hardware they’re building.
We’ve already booked some pretty amazing products to demo throughout our Exhibition Hall – Nest, Withings, Microsoft, Giroptic, Prynt & more! – but we know that, for some startups, 1000€ can be a bit expensive when you’re somewhere in between a prototype and a shipped product. Connected Conference is all about bringing out the best hardware companies, so we teamed up with La Poste to give away 10 demo booths (and two tickets per team) to the coolest hardware companies.
The best part about the Startup Village is that we’ll be pulling startups out of the village and having them demo on stage throughout the conference, and that’s why the #ConnectedContest is all about the demo. We’re asking startups to send us your best three-minute demo, showing us what your hardware can do the way you would in front of 1,000 people on stage. We’re not looking for anything fancy (save your video budget for your crowdfunding campaign video) – and that’s why I created this little video announcing the #ConnectedContest so you’ll know exactly what we’re looking for.
Submission is super easy. Just Record your Video, submit it to our application form on the Event Website, and then tweet out your submission using the hashtag #ConnectedContest and get your community to rally behind your submission.
We’ll be giving each winner two 3-day tickets to the Connected Conference as well as a one-day Demo Stand to show off their product, and all qualified submissions that aren’t selected will get 50% 1 Hardware Founder Ticket (since you went through the trouble of getting your demo ready).
Submissions are due by May 8th, but the earlier you get it in, the more time you have to get your community behind you!
