3D Augmented reality app Augment has raised 220K€ from Paris investors, including PriceMinister cofounder Olivier Mathiot(1001Pharmacies), LeGuide COO Nicolas Vauvilliez, Laurent Therezien & Tristan Vyskoc (who also recently invested in TheFamily). Created in 2011, the company’s cofounders, JF Chianetta, Cyril Champier, and Mickael Jordan were part of Paris Accelerator LeCamping‘s 3rd batch of startups in 2012. The app, which allows users to visualize 3D objects in Augmented Reality, has targeted eCommerce Sites, having integrated into Digital Art site Curioos last September, allowing visitors to visualize a painting on their wall before purchase.

The most recent funding has allowed the team to grow to up to 8 people, having most recently hired their first US business development team member under their new subsidiary Augment USA. The team manages to target the US market first as tablet penetration (the product is available on both iOs and Android) is much higher in the US – and it’s a huge market.

“The vision of the company is that in the near future, everybody will use Augment to preview a product first before buying it. We are working hard to get there!”

-JF Chianetta, CEO of Augment
