For those of you who are fans of the scooter, or any kind of quicker urban travel in general, you are certainly in luck. The ElectricMood is well on its way to becoming a success story! In just one day, it surpassed its funding goal of $50,000 on Indiegogo, and still has another 29 days to go. This great deal of early interest clearly screams that people like the product.
Advertised as a lightweight urban e-scooter, it says it is a revolution in last-mile travel. It can move as fast as 16 mph (26 kmh) with a range of 12 miles (19 km) on one battery charge. Its weight is a light 22 lbs (or 10kg). However, it is not these product specifics that really make the product stand out. It is wide enough to stand up on with two feet forward, rather than sideways like on many scooters, providing a great degree of comfort. In addition, its 12-inch wheels promise a safer and smoother ride. It even is equipped with mudguards on each wheel to prevent a rider from getting messy.
Once off, a rider can fold it and then even wheel it like a suitcase into his or her final destination. While it’s already lightweight enough to carry for anyone looking for a mini workout, this allows even more ease of transport. Aside from all of this, there is an LCD speedometer and charge gauge for even more user accessibility.
I think this is a nice product. I’m sure that streets that are only mildly busy, it would work well. However, it would be certainly impossible to travel at its top speed in such a condition, unless it was in a bike lane for example. While I am a fan personally of my two feet, this would be great to have when in a rush, or to help me avoid public transportation all together. It boasts that it will help with skipping the bus, but for someone like me that usually would take the metro only when I have to, I’d probably use something like this instead, each and every time.
