Pioneer in Android tablets and connected devices, ARCHOS launched late last week its Helium 4G category 4 range of smartphones. Their new Android smartphones come with a host of new, market leading features and technology, however one of the strongest points of the new range is its affordable price point.  All 4 phones in the range come in at under 200€, offering the 50 Helium 4G at 199€ and the 45 Helium 4G at 169€.

Both the 50 and 45 Helium offer users the best possible mobility connectivity thanks to the 4G category 4 which delivers up to 150 Mbps, a 50% faster download than then 4G category 3. The 50 Helium 4G also offers several impressive new bonus features, including:

  • a more powerful Qualcomm processor
  • 5 pixel IPS HD (720p) display
  • 8 MP camera
  • 8GB of storage capacity that can go up to 64GB thanks to a microSD port

Loic Poirier, CEO of ARCHOS, excited about the potential of 4G and their leadership vis-a-vis their competitors in this area added:

“With 4G, mobile users are developing new uses (for their device) that are even more connected…It is essential for ARCHOS to respond to this new demand and we’re product to be the first device producer to join-up 4G category 4 and global performance at an affordable price”
