dcp_banner250x220droidcon, the “developer conference and B2B marketplace exposing the best of Android’, will be launching its first Paris edition this June 17th & 18th. droidcon already holds a prominent place in the Android developer community, having launched several successful droidcon installments across various cities in Europe and beyond, including such locations as Berlin (its original launch city), London, Bucharest, Bangalore, Tunis and more. The Paris edition is being organized by the Wireless Industry Partnership and the Paris Android Group,

It already looks like they’ll be off to a great start with their first Paris edition as there are already several impressive sponsors (Samsung, Intel, etc) and speakers on board. On the speaker side, one of the big highlights will be a debate between Fabien Devos from Facebook and Pierre Yves Ricau from Square who will go head-to-head about their radically different practices when it comes to Android development environments. The final agenda, which will be announced shortly,  promises to offer several other interesting discussions on various hot topics including connected cars, gaming to embedded systems, and optimization. For all the attendees interested in how the enterprise plays in all this, there will also be a dedicated enterprise track, sponsored by Samsung, with speakers from SNCF, La Poste and others.

Android startups will also have the opportunity to shine via their Democamp pitch competition. Other than getting valuable real-time feedback from the expert judge panel, there’s also a chance to walk away with a bit of money as startups at previous droidcon events raised over €110k in funding and grants. If you’d like to apply, you can still do so here (you can apply in French or English).

And if you want to attend, you can still purchase tickets here.  There’s a 25%-off the €120 rate for Rude Baguette readers using the code RudeBaguette.
