Orée launches KickStarter Campaign for their all wood, wireless charger & bluetooth speaker

Oree Design, a startup which has made a name for itself by creating wood-based technology products, is launching a KickStarter campaign for its latest product, the Orée Pebble 2 – a wooden wireless charger. In addition to their wireless keyboard & wireless wooden touchpad, Orée previously released a Marble wireless charger, the Orée Pebble, and the Orée Pebble 2 is a nice evolution of the Pebble.

Pebble 2 offers wireless charging (on iOS devices and compatible chargers, via the Qi wireless charging standard), and also allows for hands-free phone call answering (by touching the block). The Pebble 2 also serves as a bluetooth speaker, playing music from your smartphone.

Orée design has always embodied the intersection of technology, design, and nature (namely, wood), and, as seen in their video above, the Pebble 2 fits in very well with their other wood products. Orée design builds everything in-house – their keyboard is made from one solid piece of wood – and has been very successful so far. Their Kickstarter Campaign will allow them to validate interest in the product, as well as make a bit of noise about their entire line of products. I, for one, am I fan.

Rude Baguette will be organizing its own Crowdfunding Competition with Indiegogo during our Connected Conference, coming June 18th-19th to Paris, with speakers from Apple, Samsung, Qualcomm, ARM, Parrot, Evernote, Archos, SIGFOX & more. Grab your ticket today using the OREEPEBBLE2 20% Discount!

I have seen this first time, a wooden wireless charger to charge the qi enabled device. But it should be wide enough in order to put the phone comfortably on it. I have Nexus 5 and looking for a qi wireless charger with features like wide charging base and no annoying magnets to align or secret spots to find in order to charge my device. Any Suggestion?
