It’s time again for ‘Made in ESCP Europe’, ESCP’s annual uber pitch competition which has produced several up-and-coming French tech stars in recent years, including Carnet de Mode, Appetise (better known as La Belle Assiette), and Weezevent to name a few. All startups that participate in the competition must have at least one ESCP student or alumni in the founding team.

This year’s event will showcase 35 startups who’ve all already made some strides in terms of their development. Amongst the startups in this year’s ‘class’ (see infographic below), 13 different sectors of activity are represented, 40% already have some level of business activity internationally, 27% have some aspect of their business model that focuses on social entrepreneurship, and growth is big priority for them as over the next year, 80% plan to raise funds and each hope to bring on-board an average of 3.5 new team members. You can take a look at all of the selected startups here.

Unlike other startup competitions, attendees can do more than just coming out to hear the pitches…they can also join the ‘expert jury members’ to identify the top 5 startups. Once the pitches conclude, participants can also visit the ‘startup village’ where they’ll have the chance to meet and network with all the startups. From there, the winners will be designated and will walk away with various prizes from the events 20+ partners.

If you’d like to join as either a jury member or participant, you can sign-up here.
