Le Mobile2013, Paris’ perineal annual event on all things mobile, will be kicking-off on the 18th and 19th of March at the Centre Pompidou. \u00a0The theme of this year’s event, Le Choc des Geants, perfectly captures how mobile’s shaking up the terrain for all digital player, regardless of their size, geography, or market power, and revolutionizing society overall.<\/p>\n
This year the programme is jammed packed with informative sessions and workshops, including two that are sure to interest all the start-upers amongst you –\u00a0L\u2019affrontement des Cultures > Startup Vs G\u00e9ant (Culture Clash – Startups vs Giants) and Le Choc des Stores (The ‘Store Shock’ – app stores that is). \u00a0The agenda also will include an exposition, where you can come and meet key players in France’s mobile ecosystem and, one of the highlights of the event, the announcement of the App Awards winners. \u00a0This year the organizers received over 100 entries. \u00a0The the 100, 15 will be selected to present to a jury in early March (you can take a look at some of the entrants\u00a0here<\/a>) who will identify and announce the winners across 5 categories at LeMobile 2013. \u00a0The big news about this year’s jury is that it will include our fearless editor-in-chief, Liam Boogar! \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n If you’d like to have a more active role in LeMobile2013, you can also sign-up to participate in the Hackathon<\/a> sponsored this year by Allo-Cin\u00e9 and Casino. \u00a0The way it’ll work is that the sponsors (‘the brands’) will brief the developer teams on the problem they need solved. \u00a0 The developers will then have 36 hours to develop solutions in the form of mobile or web apps, NFC, etc. The Scanpay<\/a> API and Here<\/a> will also be accessible in order to encourage the maximum innovation possible from the teams. \u00a0There will be two terrific prizes to win, specifically \u20ac4k towards purchases on Csdicount.com from Casino and 1-yr (unlimited!) free passes to UGC and Gaumont from Allo-cin\u00e9! \u00a0So, if you’d like to take part, make sure to sign-up here asap<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Last but not least we do have a couple goodies from the conference organizers that we’re giving away to you. \u00a0First, if you’d like to attend, we have a discount of \u20ac100 off the ticket price for the first 5 readers\u00a0<\/strong>who use the code ‘rudebaguette’. \u00a0You can register with the special code here<\/a><\/strong> (remember it the first 5 only so make sure to register asap).<\/p>\n Finally, we are\u00a0giving away one free ticket<\/strong>, this time to our Facebook<\/strong> fans.
