Reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2012\/11\/20\/500px-acquires-french-ios-appmaker-pulpfingers-to-beef-up-european-presence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Techcrunch<\/a>, the Pulpfingers team have been developing slick iOS apps in the photography space for sometime, including an app for viewing 500px photos on the iPhone, ISO500. 500px founder Oleg Gutsol stated that the company is happy to be expanding more into the European market, and thus it seems that the Pulpfingers team will remain in Strasbourg (<strong><em>UPDATE:<\/em><em><\/em><\/strong><strong><em><strong>\u00a0The team will be moving to the headquarters of 500px in Canada. Thank you <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Indixit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hugo<\/a> for the clarification<\/strong>).<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nPulpfingers recently <a href=\"http:\/\/pulpfingers.com\/welcometothefuture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> on their blog that they would cease development of Photopopular, their iOS flickr viewing app, and were recommending users switch move their &#8220;personal portfolios to 500px, which is a far better product in our opinion.&#8221; Clearly related to their acquisition by 500px, it seems that 500px is looking to expand its presence and define itself as\u00a0<em>the<\/em> photo-sharing site, on mobile and on web.<br \/>\nPulpfingers isn&#8217;t the only iOS startup to be acquired by a US big player this year &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rudebaguette.com\/tag\/Google\/\">Google<\/a>&#8216;s acquisition of iOS email app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rudebaguette.com\/tag\/Sparrow\/\">Sparrow<\/a>\u00a0shocked and disappointed many, who saw Sparrow as a potentially big player in France.
