Le Petit Ballon&#8217;s service launched in January of this year and offers subscribers two bottles of wine for twenty euros per month. In addition, subscribers can also buy up to 6 more bottles of the month&#8217;s wine at &#8220;vineyard prices.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe service has grown 400% since launching in January, and with this round of funding, they will likely be looking to grow even further, likely into international markets. Co-founded by\u00a0Jean-Michel Deluc, an ex-sommelier with the industry connections to all the greatest\u00a0chateaux, alongside super sales guy\u00a0Martin Ohanessian, who has been making his rounds at tech events this year, the company has created a great wine discovery service, providing not only the wine, but also &#8220;best practice&#8221; advice on the site for wine tasting.<br \/>\n<strong>Le Petit Ballon<\/strong> was recently selected for the <a title=\"Viadeo Student Challenge calls for startups looking for a student Social Media team\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rudebaguette.com\/2012\/05\/22\/viadeo-looking-for-startups\/\">Viadeo Student Challenge<\/a> as the startup which dozens of students and hundreds of entrepreneurs\/investors will be investigating for the challenge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning, Frenchweb reported\u00a0that Le Petit Ballon raised an undisclosed seed round from a group of business angels, including\u00a0Marc M\u00e9nas\u00e9, president of Meninvest, and co-chair of France Digitale, the French startup\/VC advocacy group.
