BeSafe Group<\/a>, an Italian startup, has secured \u20ac1.2 million for its insurtech. This is aimed to fasten the development of insurance and tech for European tourism while combining insurtech with travel tech.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The round was jointly agreed upon by CDP Venture Capital Sgr, via its Acceleration Fund and Prana Ventures SICAF. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BeSafe is established to eliminate any stress in booking trips and provide the accommodation structures with a payment guarantee that has a cancellation insurance rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company services now mainly include direct bookings, advance payments, and other unique services to guests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Leonardo Saroni<\/a>, partner at Prana Ventures, \u201cAmong the many startups analyzed in recent months in the Traveltech industry, BeSafe solves a problem for both hoteliers and travelers in a simple way with a scalable solution; this is why we believe BeSafe can scale to become an international player in the hospitality services market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further, CEO and Co-Founder of BeSafe Group, Alessandro Bartolucci, expressed that Insurtech and Fintech solutions always respond to accommodation structures’ needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He confirmed this by stating that over 1300 Italian properties have picked BeSafe Group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of them include hotel groups like Voihotels of the Alpitour Group, Best Western, Arbatax Park Sardinia Resort, Club Esse Hotels & Resorts, Acanfora Hotels & Resorts, Affitti Brevi, and Felix Hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the CEO, over 150,000 tourists<\/a> have traveled safely with BeSafe Group, resulting in about 42,000 insured bookings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alessandro Bartolucci added that the round would support BeSafe\u2019s expansion and accelerate its growth in Europe. “After the initial launch in Italy we are now in Spain and Portugal; and BeSafe Rate is now ready to roll out in France, Austria, and Greece”, he concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, the BeSafe group has introduced BeSafe Pay alongside BeSafe Rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BeSafe Pay<\/a> is a PSD2-compliant hospitality payment gateway that automates the full management of hotel bookings focusing on cost savings and data security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This innovation confirms that the BeSafe company is offering a fully digital solution that protects travelers at no extra cost while protecting their accommodation earnings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BeSafe group 2 products; BeSafe Rate- \u201cthe insured rate\u201d and BeSafe Pay- \u201cthe future gateway\u201d are currently added in BeSafe Suite, the \u201call-in-one\u201d solution created for the hospitality sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the recent developments, Bartolucci reiterated his company vision. He said, \u201cBeing always one step ahead of the future, imagining scenarios and understanding the need to facilitate hotel reservation processes, and confirming ourselves as one of the best vertical insurtech and fintech solutions in the European hospitality scene, this is our ambition and our goal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
