Several local Tours take place every year and in this year\u2019s French &amp; Benelux version,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.techtour.com\/files\/techtours\/57\/repo\/documents\/841-file.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">25 developing startups<\/a>\u00a0from France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg presented their companies to key investors and professionals from Europe, the U.S. and Asia, representing \u20ac10 billion worth of investment capital. The startups presented\u00a0their company and business plan in a 20-minute presentation that allowed them to raise awareness and (hopefully) \u201caround \u20ac100 million in funds for the next 3 years\u201d, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pub\/francois-lainee\/0\/52\/3a1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fran\u00e7ois Lain\u00e9e<\/a>, co-President of Tech Tour.<br \/>\nThese 25 high-tech companies \u2013chosen from among 200+ candidates\u2013 are at different stages of development, from seed to mature, and represent various technology sectors in information technology (software, internet, cloud, networking, infrastructure), medical and green technologies.<br \/>\nAmong the startups in the group were\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.captaindash.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Captain Dash<\/a>\u00a0(launched in 2010), a marketing tool that allows easy access and synchronization of marketing information,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.qapa.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Qapa<\/a>\u00a0(launched in 2011), a job search website where companies pay per candidate instead of per posting,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sculpteo.com\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sculpteo<\/a>\u00a0(launched in 2011), an online 3D printing service, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.limonetik.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Limonetik<\/a>\u00a0(launched in 2009), an online payment platform.\u00a0Other French start-ups showcased in previous tours include Viadeo, Spartoo, Criteo, Inside Contactless, Qosmos, Sofialys,Tinubu Square and Total Immersion.<br \/>\nThe European Tech Tour Association (ETT) was founded in Geneva in 1998 in response to the\u00a0growing interest in emerging technology companies in various European regions.
