Now, less than a year later, Viadeo&#8217;s market cap has\u00a0nearly halved, trading around 4\u20ac\/share at the time of this post (the company IPO&#8217;d at 17\u20ac\/share last year).<br \/>\nLooking for new life, Viadeo announced the release of a freelance marketplace, allowing its nearly 700,000 freelance users to seek work on the platform, posted by other users.\u00a0The tool, which costs freelancers 19.90\u20ac\/month, functions differently than platforms like <a href=\"http:\/\/freelancer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">freelancer.com<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upwork.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upwork<\/a>\u00a0(previously elance-odesk), which\u00a0manage payments between freelancer &amp; employer and take a cut of the work\u00a0provided.
