The company also announced the acquisition of Los Angeles-based <a href=\"http:\/\/datapop.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DataPop<\/a>, a 40-employee startup which specializes\u00a0\u00a0in connecting the products a retailer\u2019s catalog to user shopping intent. That acquisition cost the retargeting specialist at least 10 Million\u00a0euros, according to 2015 guidance reports. DataPop provides services similar to France&#8217;s Lengow, <a title=\"Lengow\u2019s top tips to help e-merchants master Google Shopping\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rudebaguette.com\/2015\/02\/16\/lengows-top-tips-helping-e-merchants-master-google-shopping\/\">whom we interviewed earlier this week<\/a>.<br \/>\nCriteo&#8217;s stock soared above $45\/share after settling at 43.56 (+0.61%).<br \/>\nCriteo CEO Jean-Baptiste Rudelle announced that the company\u00a0would be doubling down investments in technology, with plans in 2015 to overhaul\u00a0its predictive engine, which currently provides\u00a0bidders with pricing based off the anticipation that the user will click\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0purchase.<br \/>\nRudelle also announced that the company is expanding its reaches into the Facebook ad universe, with clients now able to push ads to users browsing on\u00a0sites via their Facebook ID.<br \/>\nCriteo continues to push into its multiscreen solution, hoping to follow users wherever they go.\u00a0Up until now, their mobile solution\u00a0offered limited access to mobile browsers (missing out on the greater mobile app advertising opportunity); however, it&#8217;s clear that Criteo has both the financial means (the company saw $35 Million in profits\u00a0in 2014, up from $1 Million in 2013) as well as the technical ambition to\u00a0become an unavoidable force for eCommerce players looking to reach potential buyers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Criteo releases its Q4 2014 results,\u00a0and Wall Street is happy. 4th quarter\u00a0revenue is up 69% compared to 2013 at \u20ac233 Million, and the company\u00a0is up to 7,000 clients &amp; 9,000 publishers.
