In addition to access to other popular Netflix series like <em>Orange is the New Black<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>House of Cards<\/em>, the later of which has been aired until today on Canal+, users will have access to Netflix&#8217;s catalog of TV shows and movies corresponding with content lifecycle laws in France.<\/p>\n<p>Despite launching in France, Netflix is not opening up a French office, but is <a title=\"Netflix is coming to France a little too late \u2013 in more ways than one\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rudebaguette.com\/2014\/04\/28\/vodkaster\/\">instead operating out of Luxembourg<\/a>, which has not made the French Government happy &#8211; they&#8217;ve <a title=\"France\u2019s ultimatum to Netflix: \u2018Our way or the Google way\u2019\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rudebaguette.com\/2014\/01\/27\/will-netflixs-launch-france-received-open-arms-arms\/\">promised to make life difficult for Netflix<\/a>, who&#8217;s structure circumvents certain cultural and digital content taxes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Netflix&#8217;s launch in France may have taken longer than expected; however, their September launch date has now been confirmed (and even specified to the week of September 15th), and there is now word of a new Netflix show which take place in Marseille in the south of France.
