Paris-based PeopleDoc<\/a> (formerly known in France as Novapost) has raised $17.5 Million from Accel Partners for their cloud enterprise solution for Human Resources. The company, which has offices in NYC and Boston, currently counts over 150 large companies as clients, including\u00a0Dow Chemical, Total, Motorola & Starbucks.<\/p>\n

The fundraising will allow PeopleDoc to continue expansion across Europe as well as into the United States, making PeopleDoc one of the most ambitious startups in France.<\/p>\n

“While many large players are looking to become the premier cloud filing cabinet for companies, PeopleDoc\u2019s cloud-based SaaS platform is entirely focused on HR. PeopleDoc is the only vendor\u00a0to provide a Global HR Governance platform that helps large companies have more global HR control with reduced administrative costs, while ensuring both local and global HR compliance.\u00a0Currently, we\u2019re only seeing competitors, mainly document management vendors, on specific products within our HR platform.” –\u00a0\u00a0Jonathan Benhamou,\u00a0CEO & Co-Founder,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The platform extends to digital payroll,\u00a0e-signature and case management to keep the HR workflow simple and online. This investment is the first in a while for Accel Partners into the French tech market, having lead Blablacar’s $10 Million Series A in January 2012.<\/a>\u00a0Accel’s Philippe Botteri also invested in Criteo.<\/p>\n
