3D Augmented reality app Augment<\/a> has raised 220K\u20ac from Paris investors, including PriceMinister cofounder Olivier Mathiot(1001Pharmacies<\/a>), LeGuide COO\u00a0Nicolas Vauvilliez,\u00a0Laurent Therezien &\u00a0Tristan Vyskoc (who also recently invested in TheFamily<\/a>). Created in 2011, the company’s cofounders<\/a>, JF Chianetta, Cyril Champier, and Mickael Jordan were part of Paris Accelerator\u00a0LeCamping<\/a>‘s 3rd batch of startups\u00a0in 2012. The app, which allows users to visualize 3D objects in Augmented Reality, has targeted eCommerce Sites, having integrated into Digital Art site Curioos last September,<\/a>\u00a0allowing visitors to visualize a painting on their wall before purchase.<\/p>\n

The most recent funding has allowed the team to grow to up to 8 people, having most recently hired their first US business development team member under their new subsidiary Augment USA. The team manages to target the US market first as tablet penetration (the product is available on both\u00a0iOs<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Android<\/a>) is much higher in the US – and it’s a huge market.<\/p>\n
