Barely one week after acquiring its competitor Finsquare, Paris-based Lendix announced a €12 million fundraising led by CNP Assurances, bringing other investors such as Matmut, ZenCap AM, and its existing investor Decaux Frères or Partech Ventures.

“The faithful and active support of Partech Ventures has been a key asset for our fast development. Their trust and their experience in the internationalization of rapidly growing companies will allow us to tackle our expansion in Spain and Italy in a position of strength”, commented Olivier Goy, CEO and founder of Lendix.

Lendix, the leading SME lending platform in France offers the possibility for business owners to borrow directly from the general public through its online platform, allowing private investors to boost their savings at the same time. The platform has managed more than €20 million since its launch two years ago.

This capital investment goes along with a significative commitment from investors, indeed some of them have planned to invest €20M directly through the platform, becoming institutional lenders and allowing Lendix double the amount it manages.

For the 12 months to come, the company aims to manage €50M on its platform in the 3 markets : France, Spain, and Italie. To reach this objective, a new fund dedicated to instutional investor will be launched in the months to come, and the company has planned to recruit 20 new collaborators on its 3 locations, bringing its workforce to 50 personne in total.

Owning 40 percent of market share in France and experiencing a strong 30 percent month-over-month growth, Lendix is now ready to open new offices in Spain and Italy to tackle these markets. The participation of insurance companies like Matmut and CNP will definitely facilitate the evangelization of the service for SMEs, adding credibility and some sort of trust label to this solution.

Olivier Goy is going to speak at Rude Baguette’s SPEND Conference sponsored by BNP Paribas & SlimPay. The event where exploring the convergence of finance and technology with various innovators and actors of this transforming industry will take place this Thursday, and tickets are still available!
