Jammed packed program announced for NEXT Berlin on Apr 23rd -24th
Events

NEXTThis week the NEXT Berlin organizers announced a packed programme which, as highlighted by the organizers, gives NEXT Berlin a platform to “look at trends before they become mainstream, and offers the chance to address them and network with experts at a very early stage.” On three stages and in numerous workshops more than 100 experts will share their knowledge with the expected 2000 NEXT13 attendees.

Three main areas of focus – Big Picture, Practical, and Startups

This year’s programme offers three principal areas of focus on three stages.  The first on the main Dome stage, will showcase key thought leaders from the digital world, who will focus on the ‘big picture’ around what comes ‘next.’ Some of the big names speaking this year include the digital head of Obama’s re-election campaign Harper Reed, tech blogger Robert Scoble, the futurist Marina Gorbis (Institute for the Future),  and the ‘grand seigneur’ of the start-up scene, Yossi Vardi, as well as many others.  The second, known as the White Stage, takes a more practical, case study approach to examining innovation and the future, highlighting companies and speakers such as Etsy’s Caroline Drucker, Airbnb’s Gunnar Froh, Finnish finance startup’s Payleven and Mikko Teerenhovi Holvi, and many more.

startupnext (2)Lastly, is the Startup Stage where this year NEXT has worked hard to shine a stronger light this year on Europe’s startup scene. NEXT will be partnering again the year with Deutsche Telekom and its incubator hub:raum on the startup track, which will focus exclusively on topics that are relevant to entrepreneurs, including corporate venturing, fundraising, and ‘Building a startup’, which will offer practical advice on product development, design and team building. Of course, the crowning jewel of the ‘Startup’ track is the startup competition where twelve finalists will pitch their ideas on the live stage. Don’t forget that you can still vote through March 29th for the startups that made it into the next round here!

Don’t miss the workshop and other events we’re partnering on at NEXT with the newly formed Digital Club Franco-Allemand

Apart from the three main stages, NEXT will also run more than 20 workshops which will focus on knowledge transfer around a wide range of relevant business topics. This year for the first time, the Rude Baguette will be partnering with the Digital Club Franco-Allemand (DCFA) to lead a workshop titled “How can we build a French-German relationship in the digital age” followed by networking. We’re excited to have a great panel lined-up, including VCs, entrepreneurs, and other key players in the tech ecosystem.  We’ll also be hosting a networking cocktail event on the evening of the 23rd. Stay tuned for an article next week with Rude Baguette contributor and DCFA founder Nicolas Metzke, who will give more details about what we have planned during NEXT.

If you’re interested in attending, we have a special 20% discount off standard and early bird ticket rates (which incidentally end today).  You can get the discount by entering the code rudebaguette13 when you register here.
