Angelhack Paris hackathon offers $1000s in prizes

Events

Angelhack logoThe weekend before LeWeb, all over the world AngelHack is organizing a global hackathon that’s lined up some impressive speakers, mentors, and prizes. The event claims to be the “big leagues” of hackathons, bringing together 2500 developers from Paris, San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles & Toronto for its December edition – with sponsors like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Paypal & Box, I’m certainly intrigued – at least enough to be a judge at the Paris edition.

Angelhack – December 1st & 2nd at l’After – Get Tickets Now!

The judges lined up for the Paris edition look pretty classy: David Bizer of Hackfwd,  Paul Degueuse of 360 Capital Partners,  Nadya Jahan of Mandala Games, LeCamping EIR Oussama Ammar, Guillaume Roques of Salesforce Europe, myself & more.
The prizes for the event seem to be where this hackathon really differentiates itself. Taking place the weekend before LeWeb, the winners of the Hackathon will win tickets to LeWeb, along with a trip to the Silicon Valley where they will meet representatives from Google Ventures, Facebook & more. While Google Ventures doesn’t have a presence in Europe nor a large record of investing in non-US companies, it certainly is a great opportunity. The main sponsor interest seems to be getting access to high quality developers, so for developers looking for interest in tech companies that value their developers, this may be a great alternaive to a CV.
Tickets are available here and right now you can use the code “RUDEHACK” to get 50% off, putting tickets at about $15 until November 24th. But for those who love to play to win, Rude Baguette is giving away FIVE tickets to readers, and you know the drill:
