This year, Game Connection has expanded the scope of their conference to offer new elements targeted to marketing and communications professionals, such as marketing focused master classes.  To further support this effort, Game Connection is announcing a new competition called Game Connection Marketing Awards which will “recognize and reward outstanding work in marketing and communications from across the breadth of the video game industry worldwide, from PR and advertising, to community and digital”.  Game Connection’s Marketing Awards are open to anyone working in video game marketing and communications, whether you’re at a publisher or developer, an agency, or are independent.  Entering the contest will provide entrants with a great opportunity to present their work and get exposure to various high-profile leaders in the games sector as well as the international media.   It also offers participants with a invaluable opportunity to network with other leaders in the sector.
The Marketing Awards, which will be decided by an advisory board various key industry experts, will include 7 main categories including (more details on each category here):
– Best Print Campaign
– Best Digital Campaign
